Hello! I’m Gedefaye Anteneh, a passionate and results-oriented software professional with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Debark University (Class of 2019–2022).
💼 My Professional Journey
I started my career in the financial technology sector as a Junior Core Banking Officer at NIB International Bank, where I accumulated over 2 years of hands-on experience (2023–2025). My work there focused on maintaining and optimizing the bank’s core systems. Some key responsibilities included:
- Supporting end-to-end operations of the Core Banking System (CBS)
- Customizing banking modules and workflows for teller, customer, and lending services
- Managing EOD (End-of-Day) and COB (Close-of-Business) processes
- Troubleshooting transaction, integration, and backend-related issues
- Monitoring and maintaining the JBOSS Application Server environment
- Ensuring high system availability, compliance, and performance across banking channels
In July 2025, I was promoted and proudly joined Ahadu Bank as a Core and Digital Application Officer. My role now focuses on modernizing core banking infrastructure and enabling digital innovation across the organization.
🚀 My Passion & Goals
With a strong foundation in financial technology, I am passionate about building secure, scalable, and user-friendly digital solutions. My focus is now on leading digital transformation initiatives, particularly in mobile banking, API integration, and microservices architecture.
I’m continuously sharpening my technical skills in Spring Boot, React, Flutter, API development, and mobile-first secure application design. I aim to become a leading expert in the future of digital banking in Ethiopia and beyond.
